Ngodakala parish celebrates St. Kizito

The Parish celebrates the feast of its Protector Saints - 3rd June 2011


0n 3rd June the Church celebrates the feast of Saint Charles Lwanga and his companions. Saint Kizito was one of them. Ngodakala parish is dedicated to Saint Kizito and on that day a solemn mass was celebrated to remember the occasion. Bishop Rudolf Deng presided the mass. 

Four priests concelebrated the mass:  Fr. Romano Luis, parish priest of Ngodakala; Fr. Andrea Naro, parish priest of Kayango; Fr. Thomas Tiscornia, assistant Administrator of the Catholic University; and Fr. Ruffino Alex visitor  from the Archdiocese of Khartoum. 

Around 500 people joined the celebration; among the faithfuls there were two representatives of the local government: John Peter, the minister of Legal affair, and Adeil Atanasio, the minister of Education, science and technology.  Angelo Baggari, the chief of the area, was also attending the celebration. 

During his homely, Bishop Deng remembered that Saint Kizito is one of those who were killed because of the faith in Christ. 

He also encouraged the faithful not to be afraid to follow Jesus because all grief will be turned into joy.
